How can I donate?

Monetary Donations can be made online through our secure donation page, or mail your donation check to us at Food for People, Inc. P.O. Box 4922 Eureka, CA 95502. You can also contact our Development Director David Reed at dreed@foodforpeople.org or (707) 445-3166 ext. 306.

Food Donations can be dropped off in Eureka at 307 W. 14th St Monday through Friday from 9 am-4 pm. For questions or inquiries please contact Local Food Resources Coordinator Allison Kenney at (707) 445-3166 ext. 312 or FoodDrives@foodforpeople.org. In Arcata, food can also be dropped off in our donation barrel located at Wildberries Marketplace.

How can I volunteer?

What is Backpacks for Kids?

Backpacks for Kids provides a bag full of nutritious food for children in need on the weekends for the school year. To sign up your child for the program, please contact your child’s school. To sponsor a child, please donate here to Backpacks for Kids (put "Backpacks" in Notes)

Do I need to sign up for CalFresh/EBT?

No. CalFresh is a separate program from Food for People. If you are interested in signing up for CalFresh please reach out to our CalFresh outreach staff who can help with the process.

I am unfamiliar with this fruit or vegetable. What should I do with it?
